TravisStuchl Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 i dont even think these subs are comparable. 3in coil vs 4 in coil The Hdc4 is a 4in coil My 2 cents is the same as others have already said, The SQ Hdc4 is much better at burbs and can handle a great deal of power doing it imo, I have a sp4 now I used to run AQ Hdc3 18s and they are great for the price. I've cut it down to two choices and the FI SP4 happens to be one of them. I love to hit the low notes! Looks like most people here prefer the SP4 too.

zydrix Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 Ami said that hdc4 could take 5-7k and I trust his judgement, also hdc4s area more spl oriented sub so it will want to be tuned high with lots of port area (straight from ami) While sp4 is a much more groundpounding sub with a low fs and i most builds that ive seen them in have 3.5k on each and they seem to really like it but obviously could take more, but that said they can work great with that power if taken into consideration while planning the box exactly what i was looking for, thanks man i appreciate it very much. you said info on both subs, an u were not saying one is better then the other. thanks! an for the last time to the other ones saying this is a vs thread its not! read what i was asking about the subs an you will see that My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts.
