Amart88 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Well, here's my latest dilema, I have had 60sq of AT 80 mil sitting on my dresser now for over a month. The weather has been total shit and is still shit. I am starting to get paranoid about the stuff losing its effectiveness or stickyness the longer I leave it. So tomorrow is the only "nice" day in the next week a whole 40 deg F. I have a garage with a heater but every time I turn it on all the metal in the truck condensates like crazy. Can I wipe that off, clean it and apply or no? What would you guys do, wait for a couple more weeks on a chance of warmer temps or go out and deal with the cold and condensation and attempt to get some done with hope it don't turn into a disaster... Don;t mean to rant but It has been getting to me for the last 2 weeks, I hate winter in this damn place. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

As long as the metal is clean & dry at the time of aplication & your roll it on good its sticks like a MF and you shouldnt have any problems no matter what happens after its on.

If it doesn't lose it's effectiveness when it IS stuck to metal, hence applied, why would it lose it's effectiveness when it's NOT stuck to metal? But i'm the same way. I have 2 window decals I wanna place on my car and last weekend, was supposed to rain so ok, I won't. I mean I gotta wash the car first (literally, it's pretty dirty) and not going to wash it then have it rain. Then this weekend, supposed to snow. So... just keep on waiting... Sheena = pedobear
newls1 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 regaurdless of what type of deadner i use, i ALWAYS apply with a heat gun. I heat up the gluey side for a little bit till its warm and very plyable, then place the sheet in position. Ive been using this method for years and never had a piece fall, or even come close to being loose. I've applied deadner in 20f weather before without issue..... Amart88 Posted March 21, 2013 Author Report Posted March 21, 2013 Yeah, Coleman told me that he would apply within 1 year but I ocd about this shit sometimes lol. I have a heat gun. The biggest issue for me is the amount of condensation when it starts warming up outside. Literally almost dripping off of the hood, roof etc. I may wait a bit longer and see what mother nature brings My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
