BoomZoom808
Finally got around to starting to seal the trunk off. The stupid plastic piece that goes up here needed some help. Covered the contact points with weather stripping to help I also and sealed off all these little stupid holes and used expanding foam to fill the big holes over the tire humps. It sounds so much better now and the air pushes more towards the front on the low notes It's also a beautiful day today even though we have 2 hurricanes on our door step... 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON

BoomZoom808
SQ wise they sound great and seem to take the power without any issues. I got them in a sealed box so I am going to build a new one and that should really wake them up. They are PPI Pro 124's I will get some pictures up when I take them out of the box. They are unlike any other sub I have owned. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON

BoomZoom808
Running a sealed box at 1 ohm is absolutely killing my efficiency and it doesn't help that the PPI Pros are rated 83 efficiency. My lights were dimming pretty bad at night and backing the gain down really killed the output so I decided to pull one of the PPI's and throw it in the box I built for the VCW 12. I don't think these PPI subs have ever been broken in because the suspension on them is really stiff and the sealed box I got them in had way too much fiber fill imo. After playing a few different songs I was impressed that the PPI subs could hit the higher notes a lot better than the VCW in the same box. I attribute this to the stiff suspension. I thought maybe my box design was a 1 hit wonder but it seems like maybe it has too much port for the VCW to play higher. They still smash the lows too, I played some lower stuff down to 26hz and I got some door flex that made me smile. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON
