95neon_thumper82 Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Cordless impact to mount woofers. Trust me.Agree 100% You want that impact to be able to do work/torque through and not go through a surround on that heavy ass sub. I seriously wish I had A CNC here at the house. I think people would buy A jig to mount there subs. Something that was maybe aluminum that rolled over the surround and protected it from a rogue drill. Custom made to different sub diameters and manufacturers. Maybe I just have someone an idea... hmmmm... my cousin does cnc for a living... maybe could steal that idea you get the first offs sell em for 20 bucks a piece not a bad deal. <img src=http://i1332.photobucket.com/albums/w610/beastly666bassboy/IMG_9611192581855_zps9b9b76be.jpg border=0 alt= height="75" width="800"> Growing old is necessary... growing up is an option! Kyblack76 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Report Posted July 22, 2013 Cordless impact to mount woofers. Trust me. Cool beans??? And, the fasteners im lookin at are socket head. Anything to help me slipping and making a 500$hole. LOL.... Build looks great, Paint is sex. Can't wait for a Video. N8 hit the nail on the head, impacts are so nice to use, not sure what you are mounting with, but if its philips I would get one of the bits that has a sleeve that comes down over the head of the screw, gives me som peace of mind since I have slipped and knicked the surround on a few of my woofers. Bang.. boom... Cordless impact to mount woofers. Trust me. Agree 100% You want that impact to be able to do work/torque through and not go through a surround on that heavy ass sub. Kyblack76 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Report Posted July 22, 2013 Plan is, mount the top 2, and bottom driver side. Im able to fit through the cut out. (yep, im a beast... suck it) Then border, and set up the back baffle, and glass it, and everything one more time. Wire subs, send wire to rear, and wire up and then HULK last sub home.... Slap the 10k and bats in, with the RF 3sixty.3, then.. just.... wang (and test, adjust) the low end untill my panels arive... WOOT!! ....... Go to shows.. and be laughed at for only hitting a 141 SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
CleanSierra Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Word to the wise, me personally, I wouldn't want those subs In the enclosure with Resin fumes fresh in the air. Thats my $.02 anyway. And with 2 subs in already for this future sealing up and resin process, you may want to get the most light in possible. Your build, your decision, just my take on the idea. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
