rockFord_Expedition Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 This build is just plain awesome! You make we want to start buying Fi You should..... really.... You should. and... ok.. 14.9 it is....Damnit, ninja'd by the OP himself. I could be completely wrong but my honest opinion is the same, I would do the 14.9 as XS Power recommends. I try to be safe like that and really don't want to be fucking up expensive batteries, plus the cold charge will be higher? I feel ya. i also want TOP TIER performance. And, im willing to push it a bit. And NO, the cold charge cant climb over the set point. They do say, to not be pulling on the system when you set the voltage. Then, it would be apt to over charge. Say i ran full tilt, pulling huge amounts of power, and then set the vcm at the 14.x . Well then it would over charge. Sending "peaks". But, if you set the vcm, at no load pull, then, it wont OVER charge. Also, 12 default is set at 15.2. It CAN NOT charge over that. You need to set the dip switches in the rear, if you had 14 or 16 v bats for the unit to go over 15.2. Know what i mean? I'm boycotting this thread until the subwoofer mounting holes line up in the video (2:44) Just giving you shit bro, shit looks violent. I am jealous. Yea, I hear ya on that one, I had heard something like that but was unsure since I don't own one I haven't been able to do any testing with one to see. Thanks for clearing it up though. Do they allow you to charge at the same voltage hot/cold or is it an across-the-board boost? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
