Computer Chronicals - Buying a new computer (1993)

Recommended Posts

All you spoiled youngsters with your flat screens, ultra portable tablets, smart phones.......LOL - i believe windows 3.1.1 was the hot operating system at the time and the processor was a 386. They refer to [having lots of] memory in MB, not GB, and 4 was great, 8 high end :D . If you had a 15", or were really rich and had a 17" CRT monitor, you were the KING of the block LOL.

I still have a few old books about computer service and repair (all at least pre-Windows XP). Interesting to see how little has changed but yet how much, all of the same parts are there but the I/O and specs have gone nuts!

I'm gonna hate

Haha this reminds me of the first time I ever used a PC back in kindergarden. We had an old IBM in the classroom that we could play spelling games on. Took them huge ass floppy discs. Good times..
