zapme Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Hey guys, i been fumbling on the idea on how to remove flush mount subs from the sub box? i mean from a wall or top mount subs on box. Dan2427 Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Very carefully! Lol. No seriously it's a pain. I had level 5s and crossfire subs mounted that way. The OA's shouldn't be too bad! They are just a pain when you get some motor weight to pull up with your fingers. If AMI can do it with his bottom subs in the wall we should all be able too! zapme Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 Thanks for info. I'm halfway into finishing my wall. Maybe a removable flush panel held with neo-magnets or something. zxsonnyxz Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Just make your port big enough so you can crawl into the box, and have a buddy help you hold them from inside the wall STD Passat Build 151db+STD Omega BuildMitsubishi Colt Build - Alpine|Focal|PeerlessHome Stereo BuildSmall Tang Band build - 4" fullrangeBox for 4 8"My Saab 9000 Build- I'd be very happy if you cared to check out the logs and give feedback!

Tarball Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 use studs instead of bolts on a couple of mounting holes. Be careful not to puncture your cone/surround when re-installing.
