Out of curiosity: Why did you use polyurethane glue for the box instead of wood glue? I've been trying to figure that out lol

Jon

Sorry. I guess I should have specified since there are two of you in here lol

Ya its up on the roof too but I was just posting it because most people talk ish about fatmat and its on a truck with big build here. Ive used the stuff before and it worked fine for me in the midwest but now where I live theres no way the stuff would hold up to the heat.

i like using liquid nails lol i guess thats why i use it. no real reason at all. just tried it once and liked it so stuck with it lol

and yes this tahoe we are building is full of fat mat. IF (IF IF IF) its installed correctly it will not fall down. it was installed correctly when it was less than 40 outside and now its about 85 out here its still up there :)

as a side note my trucks full of it also lol stays up perfect for me. but when we install it we take our time putting it in, heat the metal, make sure its clean, heat the material up etc. that being said there are better products out there but not for the price lol

Nice custom distrobution block rusty! I have a 03' sierra with an 8.1L(which takes up like the whole engine compartment) so its cool to see how other people run wires under the hood of these GM's. I've only got 4 runs of 0awg and i am having trouble finding places to run cable put fuses. Major props for your configuration under the hood, and in the truck! Both of these builds are looking good fella's, cant wait to see how they turn out!!

hey man i also have an 8.1 in my 03 sierra (this is not a picture of the Tahoe we are building) but you can fit some wire under there i can promise you that. i have 10 runs front to back in both power and ground (20 total). it obviously got cleaned up by the time it was done and all that but maybe this will give you an idea of how to run more wire if you are having troubles.

Holy shit that looks bad ass!! I didnt think there was a way to fit another alternator on these 8.1's, because the water pump is different than the 5.3l and 6.0l you cant stack them how most people do. Looks like you found a way. So what is this power plant powering? Also, I couldnt tell in these pictures but did you have one or two batteries under the hood?
