kingsuv
Without a doubt, these big systems can go bad in a hurry. Everyone should use Scott's truck as a reminder that fusing IS important. When it isn't fused, once the power wire grounds out, the battery connected to it acts like a fuse to a bomb. It will burn right up the wire back to the battery burning everything in its path. I've had my own scare may years ago and got lucky. These are the holders I use in all of the big spl builds I do. They are actually rated for high amperage current. They are made from nylon to withstand the heat, not the cheap plastic junk other companies use. https://www.vtewarehouse.com/content/electromech/fuse/html/anl/anlfuse.php Scott is a true basshead so I have no doubt he will be back bigger and better in no time. And just to clarify because i'm already getting msg of why and how. This truck left me fused over a year ago. It has since had other hands in it. I don't know all who, or what they did to the truck. At any rate, I really do feel for Scott, NO ONE should have to deal with a loss like this. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
Kyblack76
Ya Billiam. I JUST made a post regaurding this. I do NOT fuse every where...... but i do, and always will on my front to rear runs. And i had one go right to frame. WIth 600amp hours on deck,....... it could have went bad bad bad....... I understand to not fusing your short amp runs, or the short runs off the alt, but runs running front to rear, that go the length of the vehicle, i see NO reason why you shouldnt. Again, its a shame, and im glad hes ok...... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
