Lightweight Technology

As Snowdrifter mention earlier about the carbon nanotubes, the technology is pretty cool. I wrote a research paper about the possibility of a space elevator and the best material so far to make the rope for climbing was carbon nanotube.

Size of a group 34, weighs 15lbs. Not quite the performance of an equivilantly sized AGM battery from say... XS power. But performance/weight ratio? WOW

what throws me off is the xspower stamped into the side

Car audio and lightweight in the same sentence? lol.. Batteries would be a good start to make lighter,idk how li-ion batteries would do for car audio but I remember years ago when Monster Garage was still on tv they teamed up with Milwaukee power tools and built a dragster that was powered by their V28 li-ion batteries and made a few passes before needing a charge. Milwaukee tools FTW ,sorry DeWalt fans

I've always thought about the weight, look at how many members here ask about rear springs from month to month LOL.

There is that too. I mean, whenever I get the truck I want and build in it I'll need a lift just for it to be a truck again lol

I remember the thread. Xs was working on a lithium battery but the tech is expensive so they sold it off to a company local to them. Xs makes the cades and labels of that one shown but the other companies internals.

A cool concept would be LiPo batteries for like rc cars but big.

I'd love lighter- subs (electromagnets/carbon fiber or titanium baskets and cones for strength and weight)

- box(lighter than birch so cf?)

- wire and amps can't do much about weight without taking hit on performance atm.
