Option 1. Power output doesn't really dictate how much time and effort goes into benching amps... but I would say charge per run, say if you want it tested at different loads. Time is money.

You do make a good point. Each mono amp would most likely see 3-4 runs, 1, 2, 4, and 8 ohms. Wouldnt matter the size of the amp, all would still be run the same. Definitely something to consider.

Honestly ur pricing is fair for the work ur doing. Bc it will take 30 min to 1 hr per amp, plus packaging it back up and shipping it.

Ur making a print out of ur results and etcetc

It's just lame that it'll cost $100 to test an amp or more depending on how heavy it is. I don't see too many people shipping their amps to you tbh

I honestly think there are those that will. Shipping included, to actually have a legit number is great. Maybe not for some of the brands we love, we KNOW will make power. But some mainstream stuff is definitely suspect. And then bigger amps would be great, my AQ20 is out

Personally for me, it's not worth the risk of something happening during shipping.

I dont really understand what the test do, they test the output at certain ohms?

From my understanding the amp dyno was designed more for seeing what your amp will do in your car with your electrical system, not so much what your amp does on a bench. I dont see the point of this unless you have your car there. Now if you sell this as a service like you would and a regular car dyno or like you would when you take your car/truck in for an alignment and make adjustments and what not, I can see that it would be worth it.

The dyno has the ability to do both. The main purpose for it being built was to test amplifiers in a real world situation in your vehicle to see how it is performing, but this is another thing that it can do.

If you ever buy a Rockford Amp, you will get a "birth sheet" with the amp showing what that amp is capable of under ideal conditions. That is what I would be offering. There are a few brands that we think we know will do the power that is claimed by the manufacture, but will they truly do it?

Then you have your amps that "claim" to do 3500w for $150. Will they really do it? There is only 1 way to find out.

Also just the fact that all mono blocks takes the same time to bench, i would do all cost the same per mono amp !! especially when shipping bigger amps cost more, than its gonna cost more to bench it, when you put the same amount of time into each regardless of power.

So i vote cost per amp !

Not to thread jack but I was reading the reviews on that amp just to see what people said about it and came across this

Loved the build quality, look and feel of this bad boy! Was flexing the heck out of my 2 10" DVC 6Ohm subs. I like the black metal finish on it. Hefty solid feeling too! Unfortunately I had to return it because it was 2" too big to fit behind my Dodge RAM cab. I called up Sonic and they were great about doing a swap and me paying the difference for a Hifonics Brutus Amp. Thanks Sonic peeps!

Def like this idea and agree with option 1 like said above considering your taking your time to do it then def pay by amp but im on board
