what mistakes did you guys make when you installed your first system???

Another mistake I made actually recently was I forgot about the trunk arms(right word?) Since I've been used to driving trucks and SUVs and I built a box for my wife,went to shut the trunk and found out the box was too wide. It was a birch to get in there too lol.

used 10ga wire form home deopt with shitty radio shack fuses and home RCA's, also bought the quipment overpriced form a soundshop with a shitty amp that I have seen Ghostrider use on here lol, some american shit 600w crap lol...and nitro sub. it was horrible. I go ton here for a few months and moved to a brz1200 with SA12, then vvx10 in a Tline, then 4 12's on 1300w that I ahve now running active frontstage. Im finally satisfied.

Not using ring terminals, terrible grounds, using the Wal-Mart wire/capacitor kit. lol

Maxed gain thinking it was a volume. Had one 8ohm sub out of my 2 have the soround fail so I unhooked it and just ran 1 8 ohm sub. O also was running a 2 channel and did not have it bridged.

Not covering the wires, at all just twisted them. Wiring amps with extension cord ( pos & neg) all in one.
