Truck blow through box help

Recommended Posts

Posted

I plan to add some sound to my project pretty soon

want to put the subs in the bed and prt into the cab because its a small truck and im 6'6" and cant rally fit much behind the seat

I want to do a round port with PVC pipe though the bed and cab for a clean look in between bucket seats

I always see people cutting out ahuge rectangle hole for a port or where you cn see the whole face of a rectangle box

Would I lose volume by doing it round? whats the best way to do it?

Thanks for any help

heres what its going in :)

What size such subs you going to use? Then get with a box designer see what they come up with..you can make rectangular ports look clean.

I think the reason you see the rectangle ports is because the bandpass boxes use a lot of surface area for the ported side. It is much more practicle to make a rectangular port with large area than it is to get a huge circle.

You could do a 4th order with flare ports. Again sub size and box design will be a huge factor.
