Good luck bro. You are a minor and its near impossible to get loans without an established credit history...

Good grades can affect insurance in america?

Did not know that...

Why you would want a 6k loan over your head at 17 I will never understand though.

Would rather buy a cheap car and slowly fix it up.

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..

You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people.

I'm 19 and I just got my first car loan....No down payment, 3% interest, and no co-signer....It's actually not to incredibly hard but you gotta do a couple things first...What I did was I got a simple ass credit card and used it for nothing but gas and I paid that bitch off 20 days early for 6 months, I also started paying back student loans month by month. This got me a really good credit score. The next thing I did was go to a credit union. I would suggest to you 100% to not go to a bank and use a credit union instead, to sum it up, they are just better. Good rule of thumb I would say is to make sure your monthly payment is 20% or less of your monthly income...also remember that a cars value only goes down, so don't waste a car loan on a pile of shit

First time buyer programs are plenty with car lots so that can help you. Down payment is gonna be the key to how much your monthly payments will come out to be. A co-signer would definitely help out. Insurance is gonna depend on driving record and the type of vehicle you get, youre gonna need a down payment for the initial sign up. Shop around yourself for loans and intrest rates thats the best thing to do

Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins smile.gif

Just some info for you, me and the wife just got a loan through our bank to get another yukon. They wanted to know the exact amount of the car that was going to be purchased ( they cut a check for the exact amount to the last cent. I asked about getting another 1000 on top for repairs and they said no) . Also there are limited banks from what my sales manager told me that will mess with a car that is over 100,000 miles or 10 years old. Luckily our bank is one of the best with giving a loan for older cars. The cost of the car that we bought was $5000.97.

They will want a few forms of idea. Couple of your recent pay stubs. They will want to know where your employed. General stuff like that. You shouldn't need a down payment. They will give it to you if you have a co signer more then Lilly. I was 18 when I got my truck. Had a full time job. No credit. Got my loan for $5k but they wanted me to have someone co-sign on it since I didn't have any credit. A year after make every payment on I time I re financed and got my co signer's name off of the loan. Pick a more local bank. Cause I have all my accounts at chase bank. But they wouldn't give me a loan because they only loan only vehicles under like 6 years old. Mine was a 2002 so they wouldn't do it.

Depending on the amount and the purpose of which you state the vehicle is going to be used, some banks(mine at least) will let you buy an older vehicle. My dad's banker let us finance my 90 F-250 with 144k miles, for $1500, just to help me "get established and learn responsibility about paying off loans" and some other stuff he said. Go in prepared and they'll treat you good.
