Is dubstep clipped?

What about WAV?....what do u guys think about tht format?

That's the best format you can ever use

Its the best sound wise but takes up 5-10 times the space. MP3 is just popular because they are much smaller files and easier to work with when you have a large music database. 160gb of MP3's would turn in to 800 plus gigabytes of .WAV files.

When you download a song from iTunes on an iPhone, what format is it and is it possible to get it as a wav instead?

It's 128 kps AAC, and if you want wav., buy the physical CD and extract the wav. file from it, you'll get a 1411 kps file. If you want to run lossless on an apple product, then use Apple Lossless or the format .aiff.

kinda skimmed through but what's a good program to check songs for clipping indication? Personally listen to mostly dubstep, and I defiantly don't want to be pushing clipped signal, I use dd-1 to set all my amps but I guess that wouldn't do much good if I play a song full tilt that is already clipped. Also is there a way to fix songs so they aren't clipped? I try to download songs from trusted sites and pay for almost all of my music, unfortunately not all dubstep songs especially remixes are available to actually be purchased so kinda of a catch 22 with dubstep music....any input would be appreciated but honestly don't know much about this other than I don't trust most music sites that offer music that you don't pay for for quality purposes....soundcloud for starters is a toss up...not recommending getting music illegally let's not get into that...thanks

i have 2 32g flash drives tht i use. All my files are WAV....i tried alac but it wouldn't read off of the flash only through the ipod....the ALAC versus both mp3 and WAV was like night and day...im not sure if most players can process ALAC anyway....workin on gettin the 160g ipod...even then i dont feel it would be feasible to use ALAC...

Pretty sure once its clipped, its clipped there is no fixing it. Audacity will allow you to analyze for clipping as well as MP3Gain. MP3Gain will allow you to also change the volume of your song to the max unclipped volume. I like it because you can run analysis on all files in a particular folder. However, I am not sure on the validity of their claims.
