A couple of pics from when they had one of our trains at work rebuilt. The cylinder sleeve, head, rod and piston are a one piece deal that gets dropped into the block. I want to say it's a 12 cylinder but not a 100% since this was last year.

Pretty sure the piston and rod slide in through the bottom when u compress the piston rings with the tool. The bracket the strap is ran through is what is holding the piston until the connecting rod is mounted on the crank. I just pulled 6 heads, pistons, liners, and a turbo from. 5k hp inline 6 cylinder generator today. I'll take pics tomorrow and post up.

Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins smile.gif
