Believe me, I'm MORE excited about this build than if it had Fi our Sundown in the title. The box came out beautifully, I love it.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Glad to hear. I like to be different. Thanks for the kudos, just need to get it in already!

Nobody wants it more than me bro! Lol. I'm just biting my nails, hoping the sub's gonna be here for Heat Wave.

But even after the sub gets here I'm not truly done. My door panels still look disgusting. I'm too lazy and it's too hot out for me to do it right now though.

god damn, that has got to be at least 24" of sub!!!!!

24.5" to be exact :)

So, gonna finally refinish these ugly bishes:

The sun and cheap materials I guess really did a number on them. Yep, those are fingerprints. No idea what happened there, must have been the oils on my fingers? Sweat? Who knows. Cheap stuff was used, so here I am. Just gonna plasti-dip I think.

Also, headliner came out. No idea what to do here:

I need to brace it. I thought I had more room between the roof braces and the roof, was gonna add wood in there, but I don't. I might be able to put a block in the middle between two roof braces because of the lip on the roof brace, might fit well. But I don't know what to do on the rear side, which is where I really need it.

Anyone have any ideas? I want to be able to get the headliner back in there.

Its hard to tell from the pic but it seems like you could fit a piece of 3/4" ply in between the braces....use a ton of PL preimium or equivalent and you should be good to go

You mean in between the roof and the braces? I can't. Well, I sorta can. The brace is kinda like a "W" shape, but the outsides of the W are shorter. The middle is almost right against the roof, but the outside edges might allow a piece of wood in there. So then I would have to cut long strips to put on either side, like 3/4" square. Not sure how much rigidity that would give me.

If you mean laying it the long way, basically over the deadener, I can't. That was kinda my original plan, but the headliner wouldn't fit back in then. That's a priority for me.

Just sprayed over it. Not perfect, but much better, and good enough for me.

Still no ideas for the roof. Only thing I got is to replace the AT with Tantric Vibraflex, it's supposed to dry really freakin hard. Like, concrete hard. May be my only option. Got a week or two to think about it.

for the roof why couldn't you just do layers of 1/8" board and glue them together to make it solid? ive done it on about 3 different vehicles now including my current one. works good every time. all you need is 1/8" board and a car jack with some 2x4s to hold it up until the liquid nails or whatever adhesive you using drys. then a layer of deadener over that if you want. the roof will be stiff as fuck though.
