Bship
so do it. sell the two for enough to pick up a better one, you have to take into consideration that a bigger sub will want a bigger box. You have to experiment to figure out what you think is the right blend between space and bass. Mr Bigolsworth
Well I just want to be able to fit a cooler for the beach or grocerys back there. My box for my two 12's at 3.8ft^3 and only leaves me 7 inches for trunk room. A box for a 15 would be 3ft^3 and leave me about 12-14 inches. 2002 chevy avalanche Currently have: 2 dc xl 18 set of T2652-s scv-6k Ct sounds 75.4 270a mechman xp3000 d3400 Wanted: saz 200.4 Second set of T2652-s D3100's deadner
Krakin
I think with how you've been describing you're needs you just need to sell the SA's and upgrade. I would personally wait till the X's and Zv4 come out instead of getting a Zv3. Not too long of a wait now. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. alaskanzx5
Do a single 12 at 1 ohms something that can handle 2k rms plus in a 3 cuft box. would give you the same amount if space as the single 15 but in a big box for better efficiency. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Hellbilly429
Wire that bitch to 1 ohm, recone isn't too expensive for the sa's, lol. What kind of battery power and alternator power is that amp really seeing anyways? Amp will do rated on a solid 14.4 volts, but as steve showed us with his dyno if that amp isn't getting the juice it needs it won't do rated, and if you just set the gain down a bit and watch it I'm sure it will do fine 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

Hellbilly429
Exactly what I was thinking^^^ Plus I have the same amp and the same sub but d4 model wired to 2 ohms, and I know I'm lucky if the sub is getting 1k watts without me clipping the piss out of it and revving the motor up, lol 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
