It's going above the batteries here...

SAM_0508_zps05dfa8f6.jpg

SAM_0509_zps04a9c522.jpg

Trying to add more reinforcement so i can mount amps to side of the box. Gonna just add about a tube of silicone to the side going to the box then brad nail the ever loving shit out of it.

Seats fold into two positions other than straight up to be sat in, all the way up...

SAM_0510_zps06f6ad99.jpg

and then back folded forward which is how it will be when pounding loud as F*ck, which also allows more air on amps and the box to get a little more clearance in the very back if I wanted to actually push it forward, but that sounds like too much work. With everything in place to accommodate 4-5 people per say, the box would not have recommended 6 3/4" in front of port so that's why I didn't want to have batteries in this location but meh, I'm at the point where whatever... plus with seats up it means I would have my 3 year old daughter in back in which case don't need to worry about spaSAM_0511_zps8883dad3.jpgce in front of port because I would be playing subs at all.

Thanks guys!

2 tubes of clear 50 year Silicone

Two rows of 1.5" brad nails holding it in now. Board is 4' x 15" and rounded over on top. I'm hoping that the nails get hidden a little more in time, they are sunk in a hair, but the fit is about perfect. Again, with seats back and whatnot you will not see below the black so not a biggie

Now it's just time to get things hooked up. Crescendo BC5500D on left and a RF power T1000-4ad CP on Right I think....and 4 crossovers somewhere.....

When I wall this bitch I will make it look 10x better, I promise!! LOL

hide crossovers please.

Really? Why? You think it will look too busy with them? Or you just don't like the looks of them period? I think the RF ones are sexy but that's just me. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Under the seat maybe? I know they don't get that hot

Read your brad nailer manual. There is penetration depth adjustment. (penetration! :twirl: ) Use the shallow adjustment (and short brads) for tacking fabric to the back of boards. And use a deeper adjustment to punch through fabric and hide nail heads.

You said only 7.9 cubes for 4 15"s? That's where your lows are at, in your missing box volume! My box is 3.5 cubes PER 15".

Do some work man!!!!! I want to hear this before the snow flies. I straight hibernate once winter comes. I can't wait to talk audio with ya, most of my friends go cross-eyed when I start talking ohms and wiring.

Great build here man I'll be following this one fo sho! You've got some awesome equipment and installed it even more awesome! Keep it up, oh and IMHO I wouldnt be too afraid of showing off those x-overs, I think youve seen my truck. I mounted them on the b pillars and I think they came out good because they dont take up any usefull room and you dont notice them very much, well at least in mine but not to detour from your build too much just wanted to say I think it's lookin sick bro!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!

My build log: 10k center console with 4 DC Audio XL 10's powered by 2 DC Audio 5.0k amps 5 xs batteries and dual DC Power 300xps alts
