I had just used a 9v battery. I googled 'subwoofer pop test' and the vid I found the guy used a 9v so that's what I did. Polarity was all correct but only a little movement.

No, sorry they are in separate chambers 5 cubes per. The chamber is 21 deep x 18.5 wide x 19.5 tall the port is 21 deep x 18.5 wide x 2.5 tall. After displacement and all that jazz the chamber is 5.01 cubic feet and the port is tuned at 31.2 hz

I just double checked the numbers. And what I'm getting seems to line up with your results/problem. The box is WAY too small

I assumed what you were giving me was internal dimensions, so I had to add 1.5" to the external dims to compensate for the wood thickness

Is the box flexing too? Kinda hard to tell with that shaky video but it almost looked like the front baffle was moving some

Could be my eyes to, just curious

^^^I mentioned the port area 3 days ago :)

It doesn't sound like it has the output that 2 18" BLs on that kind of power should have. I can't believe that it would be ALL the recording devices fault. Those subs should get downright nasty.

I never ran any numbers on his enclosure, but if he's in the 3 cube range, that is why they sound like a couple of 10s

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Use a 12v to pop subs you need to see real movement to see if one coil is out of phase or not

I've double checked the math and you are correct... The box is 4.375 cubic feet. Now i'm going back to the shop that made that box and ripping them a new a**hole.
