Zak Massey Posted July 4, 2013 Report Share Posted July 4, 2013 I have one of two Fi Bl 18's in a wall and have noticed that there is a ton of heat building up after a short period of play on both test tones and music. The box is 5 cubic feet (probably a bit on the small side) and the sub is being powered by a Kicker ZX2500.1. Also the sub seems to have only a small amount of excursion and I don't feel like that's the way it should be... Any help you can give me would be appreciated! Thanks! The chamber is 21 deep x 18.5 wide x 19.5 tall the port is 21 deep x 18.5 wide x 2.5 tall. My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts. (on there way here) atomic at-3000.1 (soon) 146.2 outlaw @39hz., bad alt an bad batt when termed (old 2 12" build) alpine 6.5s in doors infinty 4x6s in dash. clarion cz201 HU. mechman 240a H/O alt stuff i still need. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts. That is way too much for a BL, for music. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box.
