Now the next question is, anyone want to help me design a wall in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier LS coup?

I really don't know if I have the ability to build a wall myself. This whole predicament just sucks.

youd have better results building something yourself then paying a shop to put an 18 in 4 cuft for christ sake. I mean ok youre running 5k but like 2 cubes smaller per sub is redic.

build something yourself.

edit: I saw your net volume is like 3.73 cuft per sub. thats hilarious. The box is big enough for 1 18. they put two in it. FTL

fi reccomends 5-8 cuft. PER SUB youre at 3.73 per. so at minimum 2.5 cuft too small minimum

Setup:

2010 Hyundai Elantra

Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC

Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt

Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000

Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of -

DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

Yeah I realize that, I'm probably going to knock out the partition and seal up the other hole just so I have bass until I start the next build.

15s would work much better in that airspace. Might be something to consider. You could just have the shop redo the baffle.

-Question Zak:

Did the shop advise your that you did NOT have room for 18s and you toss them to build it anyway? Who's idea was it to proceed, knowing you had such little airspace? If you were aware that the space was no where close a proper enclosure for 18s and still had them build, then that was a mistake.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

No, They actually told me after everything that the enclosure was at 5.01 cu ft per chamber, the port was tuned to 31.2hz and that it was perfectly okay to put 2 18 Fi Bl's in there.

Would it be possible to run both of my Kicker ZX2500.1's at 1ohm on just one Bl? If so, what type and size of box would you recommend?

Those amps are not 1 ohm stable, so no. Trying to run more power is not your fix in this situation. A 5 lb sledgehammer is going to be your best friend here.

Step 1) Take your subs out

Step 2) Take the sledge in your dominant hand with a firm grip

Step 3) Knock the piss out of the baffle

Step 4) Take every piece of wood from the newly destroyed box BACK to the shop that "designed" and built it

Step 5) Drop the pieces at their feet

Step 6) Give them the finger and then walk out

Step 7) Get someone that knows what they're doing to help you with a proper re-build

Step Eight) Never return to that shop EVER

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
