soundstream15
I see. I believe with mechman I don't have to plug that thing in. But it should help alot and get me louder since volts will be up.

Omega5002
Battery bank can only do so much, since your vehicle is a daily driver, and not a competition vehicle with a million batteries plugged to the wall, your charging system needs to be up to par to have the reliability. Too much battery and not enough charging, and you'll end up having to put them on the charger often, and can't demo or play full tilt often cause the batteries will be drained, but at the same time, too much charging, and not enough battery, well all that charging is wasted cause the batteries can't store all the current. You'd be better off btw adding a D3100 with the HC2400 then replacing the HC2400 with a D3100, but you should invest in a bigger alternator instead of a D3100. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

Depends on how much he plays it while he drives. I mostly listen to rock and country at a mild listening volume. Barely any bass. Only when I really feel like cranking up some decaf is when they get used. Even then still, I can't drive around with my system at full tilt all the time... There has to be a point in where you take a break... That is when the alternator is able to help replenish the energy to the batteries. I had a sundown 2k on an 18 in a hyundai accent with a d2400 on a stock 65 amp alt... I just stayed within reason like I said above and I never had issues except with my other amp- AQ2200 blowing all the time... I RREEALLY ANGRY WIT U PHOTOBUCKET. HAD TO USE DROPBOX NOW HOLYYYYYY. goldeneye4564
You can add batteries all day long but unless you are making power to replace what is being pulled from the batteries than you're just draining the batteries. The larger alt will keep the batteries from draining so quickly. You are correct but at the same time, If you are trying to pull 300 or more amps an alternator can only do so much ( and dont say well get a 370 amp alt....) You need a good electrical battery bank to store the extra power being made by the alternator.. When the bass hits and your alternator goes OH FUCK and gives all it can give... 300 amps.... That is all it gives! Whereas four batteries can give 1000s of amps. You don't see many big players running a lot of alts with not many batteries, You also don't see many big players just running a massive battery bank. Once you start getting into the 3k-5k range be prepared to upgrade to a better alt plus more batteries. Every 2k I add I try and add another battery. I RREEALLY ANGRY WIT U PHOTOBUCKET.
