I think my alternator is about to go out now too. see and that's one of my main concerns. and this is why I like the idea of two alts... sure its a second hunk of metal.... but if one dies... I can still make it home. meanwhile if I have one... 400 dollar beasty... and it goes out... well now I have to pay 400 for my new alt. AND a tow home. that just seems cruel. lol so I think. once I fet my new car. This is not a forum you will find the majority of the people wanting to run 10,000 watts on a 300 amp alternator, two batteries, a lollipop, and a couple oranges wired in series. Most here, myself included, prefer electrical overkill allowing us to wang full tilt and demo all day and never see below 14 volts. I have probably spent more on alternator than people have on their entire setup. Which isn't a bad thing, but some of us like to really wang on our equipment. alaskanzx5 Posted July 20, 2013 Report Share Posted July 20, 2013 ive got more into my alt then most have into their front doors. dont have an uprgrade front battery or a second battery yet either. between wire, batts, alt and external adjustable regulator ill have closer to 1000-1200 into it. my electrical will have more money put into it then the average craigslist shopping joe has in his entire system. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
