SnowDrifter
If it is in your car and electrically connected with wires: FUSE IT. Put the fuse as close to the battery positive as you can. I've seen people fuse say... Their amp's power wires right where the go into the amp. That's useless if the wire shorts out. Suppose the wire rubs through the insulation and you didn't put the fuse close enough to the battery. Now there is nothing to interrupt the current and you get some nasty problems. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
^^Good idea $3.50 for a fuse holderhttp://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Cooper-Bussmann-ATC-fuse-holder/_/N-25gq?itemIdentifier=32415_0_0_ Figure another couple bucks for fuse and butt connectors / heat shrink. Plus gas.
