Correct. But may not be able to live off of it. I am by no means in poverty as the place I live isn't in the dumps. But it's also not in the millionaire section either (way closer to the dumps than millionaires). I do have a brand new car (or now, relatively new), ect. I know, I have it pretty well. But, $11/hr 40 hrs a week? Isn't enough. Rent is about $930ish a month, I pay some of it, and then rest of the bills and I don't make enough. Even if you got rid of the car payment completely, I still don't make enough. And that's with 0 kids. So I have another job. I can imagine and know that people with kids, need more income than what I do. How they make it work? Not sure.

But I say just cut it from the program and call it done. End of my story.

I think if anything they should be giving drug test atleast twice a month. I also think they should also have some sort of job search though. A temp service through the ebt cards for those who are able to work. So yes they may be unemployed and receiving benefits but as soon as they are employed it should be taken away. Just ideas here. I think it should be for the disabled and those not able to work. Not people who have kids to get more free money. It's irritating seeing signs in fast food places saying we accept ebt. I think there should be a "grocery list" given of what you can and cannot get. They should be accepting ebts anywhere except for the grocery Imo.

I am right there with you ken... I have no issues with the people who TRULY need assistance asking for help but all I ever see anymore is exactly as you stated... Women who cant keep their legs closed and dont have a boyfriend/husband they have baby daddies and uncle sam gives them everything they need to suit their lifestyle...

Example is there is a couple in my neighborhood... Woman does NOT work at all... Guy is a pizza delivery guy... They are on Gov't assistance... The house they live in is a $250,000 home... My question is if they are on assistance then why the FUCK are they able to live in a quarter of a million dollar home when my fiancee and I bust our asses and right now we are stuck in a small home that was great when we 1st moved in but now that my daughter is there full time and my infant son and our retarded shepherd... We are cramped into the house and we are having trouble getting a loan accepted... Her and I are TIRED of renting but I guess worst case scenario if we have to rent again we will...Shit just makes me sick

I think we need to better the education system to prevent this entitlement people have. Free cell phones for the poor?!? Free health care?!? I work with a lot of low income ppl and they eat like shit!! 5-6 ppl at my work have diabetes. And they eat chips,and cookies all day, every day. Why should I pay for their poor food choices and lack of exercise. I think for every foreign student that goes to our college, should pay for one qualified US citizen to attend.

seeing people on iphones, huge rings and necklaces etc...

a whole buggy, or maybe 15 dollars worth of food.. they pull out a food stamps card.. it got to the point it pissed me off so much

i told them the food stamp machine on the register didnt work so they would have to go to another line..

i know some people actually might need it, and the others are just abusing the system completely..

like they can offord these brand new cars, phones, diamonds and shit but they cant feed their kids?
