Avery Howell
NEW PROBLEM! So I got a call about 30 minutes ago from my friend and he said that his lights were flickering. I said this is normal with some HIDs, but he insisted I come over anyway. Needless to say these things were STROBING and very very dim. I switched which fuse I was using the fuse tap on and tried it again. Same thing. I put on the error eliminators and that seemed to fix the strobing and brighten them back up. But now the relay sounds like its clicking on and off very very rapidly and its is fairly warm....What now? 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 W/ 6 Speed Build Log 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 Build Log YouTube

White Lightning
Relays are only suppost to "click" when you activate them ... or deactivate them ... Sounds like you have it wired up wrong and it's turning on and turning off ... or pulsing and not staying on when activated ... kickass audio
Try to bypass the 12v trigger wire on the relay with a direct 12v source like the battery to see if it goes away. If not double check the grounds on that relay and see what the resistance of it is. If it still is sounding like that try to get a new relay and see if it acts up. If so then you probably have a broken harness. edit: that rapid clicking is definitely from it engaging and disengaging rapidly. I was fucking with some relay's I had laying around until I use them and I ripped off the cover on one of them and applied 12v to the common and ground to the relay to see how it works and when I would take the wire from the battery and flick it it would rapidly open and close the switch in the relay. If I had one strand of wire hitting the terminal it would arc and switch on and off rapidly just like yours. Another test for you if you have a fast enough tool is to test the 12v signal coming from your stock headlight plug to see if it stays at a constant 12v or if it flickers. If it flickers you may want to look into swapping the relay the stock headlights use in the fusebox as it could be bad. If it is a constant 12v then you know the problem is from the relay kit up to the ballasts. 2004 GMC Envoy1 XS power S3400 batt under the hood and 4 XS Power D3100's battery installed in the rear by the amps0 gauge power wire from front to backAlpine iva-w205 touchscreen dvd/cd/mp3/ipod/am/fm/gps headunitSundown Audio SAX-200.4 amp for my mids and highs8 gauge speaker wire from amp to woofer270 amp Mechman AltRockford Fosgate T1652-s component speakersRockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 sound processorRca's from Rockford Fosgate and Monster Cable14 gauge speaker wire for the mids and highs1 18" Ascendant Audio SMD Dual 1 ohm with custom Black & Blue carbon fiber and hand signed dustcapBox: 5.66 cubic feet net volume box tuned to 30.13Hz with 1.5" wide wooden dowels and 1.5" thick baffle1 DC Audio 5.0k amp wired to .5 ohms nominal with an imp rise of 1.35 ohms for the single AA SMD 18"Future Vision 8000k 50w bi-xenon projector HID's with 4300k 35w fog lightsLink to my build: Buildupdates/progress

Avery Howell
One more thing is that it only happens when the car is running. Not when the car is just on ACC power. 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 W/ 6 Speed Build Log 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 Build Log YouTube
Dangrebel
Your car more than likely has drl system, which depending on how it's activated. The signal may be pulse width modulated. Which cuts the circuit on and off so fast it dims the factory low beams. That's why the relay clicks on and off. Normally you can stop it by running a ground from factory plugs to a ground on the vehicle. It will level ice the circuit. 1999 GMC Yukon, 6 PSI platform 5 18's, 4th order bandpass by BHE, Taramps,
