SnowDrifter
It's not just about thickness. How wide can you get it? Multiply your thickness by your width to get your cross sectional area. Get whatever has the most area. 1/4" x 2"or1.5" should more MORE than sufficient. Setting up your wiring equally so it's not all on one side of the bank will cut down the need for a really beefy buss bar since all it would be doing it making sure all your batteries are in sync with eachother vs. needing to conduct a bunch of current from one side of the bank to the other ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
SnowDrifter
I will add: If you are tapping/screwing into them, you'll want at least 1/4" thick IMO. Just so you have enough threads to bite. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
1/4 x 1" should be fine. Just spread your wiring around the bank ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Make sure to use all stainless steel nuts and washers so you don't have to deal with rust problems.

AMI CUSTOMS
Brass conducts better then stainless steel. I use brass and either copper or alum for buss bars.
