snafu
Here's another metaphor . . . Three half dollars is more than one dollar. But a dollar a half dollar will never be. CJ18
I am trying to upload a video to youtube now. I just tested the DC 3.5k using CCA and OFC. There was very little difference in power output.
Bradprobert
From the little bit of research I did, the difference between resistance and impedance is that resistance has just a magnitude while impedance has magnitude and phase because it is measured in an AC circuit. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .
CJ18
Test was done using Sky High 1/0 CCA and OFC. All runs are the exact same length to ensure a fair test.
David
I'm not watching a 10 min video, how much of a difference was it

Miguels
it lost .5 volts with CCA edit: .37 Edited September 22, 2013 by Miguels Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
CJ18
I did run 3 back to back tests, but that is also why I went back and ran the CCA again just to be sure to make it fair.
TeamHT
Well...I skimmed it but didn't the voltage start at 14.6 for the CCA and 15.3 for the OFC? I'm not watching a 10 min video, how much of a difference was it I think the CCA did 3,024 at 13.4 volts and the OFC did 3,274 at 14.3? I'm a little buzzed but that's what the numbers looked like to me Edited September 22, 2013 by TeamHT Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you? meade916
Watch the video and you will see. Very very little difference. very little difference? 250 watts on a 3 foot run is BIG IMO. It will more then likely get way worse on a more standard run of 16-20ft. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
