Karkov
homemade tweeter savers a standard car dome light in line with your tweeters positive terminal. It acts like a resistor that changes impedance as it gets hot and starts to glow. When the impedance rises, it causes the amp to put out less power, keeping the tweeter in check. If you push it too hard still, the bulb will pop and NOT the tweeter. Get a new bulb, set your gains better, and you are back in business. click here for an example. http://instagram.com/p/bzLpBJEt1w/ they have these lights in rainbow crossovers. I remember there were crossovers that would light up like crazy in the early 2k's. Possibly these? AMI CUSTOMS
My favorite trick is a hairtrick -For daily and competition use removable ports using bolts and T-Nuts. That way you have daily tuning and competition tuning. -When doing fiberglass molds, enclosures, pods, whatever, glass from the backside and then you only have to sand the face that is generally just resin coated fleece. -Under hood power wires, loom and wrap in electrical tape, electrical tape is flame resistance so acts as a insultor. -Never loom Ground wires, waste of time and money. -For max SPL, pay someone else, because it is a never ending headache Edited September 27, 2013 by AMI CUSTOMS Quote TEAM SOUNDQUBED -- TEAM SOUTH TEAM S.O.B. - Founder & Captain 3x Streetbeat World Record Holder 2017 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2016 MWSPL 1st place Mayhem/2nd Adv 4/2nd Xtreme 4 2015 MWSPL 2nd place Mayhem & 4th Xtreme 4 2014 USACI 2nd place Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db 2014 MWSPL 2nd place Xtreme 4 - 144.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db 2013 USACI 1st place Street Q+ - 162.8 db 2013 MWSPL 3rd Kaos2 & 4th Xtreme 4 2011 USACI 2nd place MOD 1001-2k - 160.0 db 2011 MWSPL 4th place: Adv3 - 157.8 db, Kaos2 - 150s db, Xtreme4 - 140s db 2010 ARSPL 1st place 501-750 - 160.3 db Arkansas loudest Best score to date 164.4 db - Termlab Outlaw Streetbeat 4 - 161.9 db Streetbeat 5 - 162.6 db MWSPL on Dash Legal door open (Music) - 162.5 db Sealed on dash Legal (Music) - 161.1 db - Termlab THE BLACK NASTY CURRENT BUILD & FAB The Black Nasty (6) 15 Rebuild Log 2012 (4) 15 Walled Sierra Build Log Evo X build log Facebook page The Black Nasty

Would a proper DD-1 tune eliminate the usefulness of this trick though? Or not so much? soundstream15
make sure to separate the rca's from speaker wires and have short clean grounds cuz engine noise is like cancer! explain this, so why do you have to separate speaker wire from rcas, bc mine for in the trunk, they zip tied together.. truthsayer
use a toroid choke noise filter before radio and all amps. This will always insure a clean signal. Quote truthsayer
