Jextel
I just purchased a long needed Iraggi 220amp alternator and lately my volts has been at 10.9-10.8 with out the system on so i know the alternator is NEEDED! but my question is what are your volts with your HO alternator? I have a HC200 under the hood and a everstart MAXX deepcycle in the trunk on 2 hk401sx's and a JBL75.4 and im hoping my volts will stay around 13.5 or more with the HO alt...think so? How much watts are you running? How many batteries? What size alternator you have? What is your volts at full tilt or bumpin hard? mrrairai
(260 Amp Iraggi Alt) 14.4-14.8 at idle or moving but when I'm in drive and stopped at a light it sits at about 12.2-12.5. When I'm hitting hard the voltage will drop to about 13.3-13.7. Oh I forgot to add that I'm only using 1 Yellow top that sits at 11.9 (yikes!!!) when the vehicle is off!!! Also my Big 3 is really the Big 2 so its really my fault. I know that my electrical is sucking right now but in about a week that would be updated!!! meade916
4 alts totalling over 1300amps 7 D3100 batts 23,000 watts rms (birthsheet ratings so it varies of course) playing enough to hurt most people 14.2-14.4 during play (full tilt but backed off a hair) playing full tilt 13.8v each of my bass amps tries to draw 400amps so i think those are pretty good numbers for what i have..23k and i only drop .8 volts at full tilt. Yes, it will help alot, but ur alt is used to supply enough power to charge and recharge ur battery(s)... so personally, i think u need at least another deep cell, i dont like everstart but if u do cool. Just using something as simple as Kinetiks Power Calculator it says u need a hc1400 under the hood and 2 hc1400 near the amp... this is what will stabalize ur voltage closer to 13-14v (which mathmatically could be another 400w going to da woofers)So that'd be like having three of ur everstart maxx bats hope that paints the picture a little better 2001 Navigator How much watts are you running? 2000wrms Hifonics bxi2000d (so more like 1800w) How many batteries? 2 stinger spv1700 What size alternator you have? rebuilt 220a What is your volts at full tilt or bumpin hard? resting 12.8 car off, idle no music 14.4, idle w/music 13.6-13.2, rpm@2000 no music 14.6, rpm@2000 w/music 13.9-13.8 and 2001 mit ecl ~1400-1600w (rf1000bd+rft400-4) 200a EA alt resting 12.8, idle 13 (alt doesnt kick in til about 1000rpm, idle is 700rpm), idle music 13, 2000rpm no music 14.7, 2000rpm w/music 13.1-13.

Forevrbumpn
I would think if its dropping voltage like that, I would check tension on your belts, maybe the Belt idler started losening up, and it doesnt have the grip to the pulley on the alt like it should Just a guess.... if not check wiring for a losened bolt ground, or Pos if all good, take it up with Iraggi Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
