Cablguy184's 1997 Chevy Silverado ... DJM 4/6 - Air Ride

Recommended Posts

Looks very nice man! I would suggest setting it up to lay frame from the get go. You are doing all that work to begin with, may as well do a little extra and get that bish laid out! Trust me, if you don't do it now, you will wish you would have after a couple months :D

I would also suggest doing a 4 link for the rear as well. You will get a better ride and it will be stronger/safer than removing leafs and adding a bag.

Anyway, I'm tuned the hell in!

Yes Sir !!! I'd like to trade in my bed cover for a snug top camper shell and build that wall with 16 10s (8 ISO-Kits) like I've always wanted ... but that stuff cost money that I do not have at this time ... Remember, I have a wife and kids ...

I'm realy lucky to work with what I have now ...

I understand dude, I have a wife and 3 young boys at home. I was just putting my suggestions out there :drinks:

strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub

I would also suggest a link setup. If you have a grinder and access to a welder you can pretty much build your links. The ride quality of bag on axle with monoleaf is nothing compared to bag on bar or even bag on axle with links. Good luck and can't wait to see some progress.

Maybe later in the game ... But for now, I need to get this 4/6 drop fully complete and rear air bags installed ...

It would be nice to have all this installed and for the most part complete by next weekend in Huntsville, Al ...

We are going to pull the truck on my trailer to World Finals ... Mike (Hyper Lights) will be towing my truck to the event ...

I realize it's short time and you're trailering to next weekend's event, but I agree with OJuiced about doing the link setup eventually. If that's not in the cards anytime soon at least look into Caltracs to help with axle wrap and bounce.

Static drops are my bag.

What is this ?? other than clearance issues that should be fixed this week, I am not having any other issues at all ...

A new pair of shocks for the front and the bags installed in the rear and she wil be driving almost as good as stock ...
