MACnonsence6
12s will have more cone area and depending on what ones you use more motor force then a single 15 I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
g2shuck
12"s not hitting lows has nothing to do with the size of the sub, please refrain. How much space do you have to utilize? If it were me I would do two 12"s I didn't say that I said that anyone around here who has 12's just don't seem to hit the notes that I like. I wasn't meaning anything about the size My level 4s will hammer notess all the way down to 25hx with my box tuning at 33hz. It has to do with the install, box tuning, port area etc. 2000 Toyota Camry With Sealed Off Trunk Sky High OFC Wiring DC Power 270 XP Alt AQ 2200 Sub Amp Two DC Level 4 m2 12s 80 Mil Murdetmat Gathering Parts For Wall Build. Not really sure, but that's what steered me away from 12's. Plus I like to mix it up too. Hardly anyone in my town has 15's or even 1 15 rather.. i think maybe 2 other people along with me. Makes sense where it would come down to the box and tuning etc. Vehicle: 1988 Cadillac Brougham Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS Head Unit Custom box built by me (designed by forum member g2shuck) (1) DC XL 15 (2) SQ q1-1200d (2) Crescendo PWX-6's. David Bailey
I would go 2 12's, because that is going to be more versatile than one 15. I like all kinds of music, but nothing compares to chest pounding a couple 12's give you when Joey or Lars hammers the double bass drum in a great metal song. Plus, they can go plenty low if you set them up right. I mean, think of it this way, would you rather two hot chicks or one? Did you get that scar tissue when you got your vagina installed? I've made my 10's play down to 24hz with authority and I've heard 18's get brutal on some double kicks, then change the music and murder the lows. jarrius
We'll I didn't read the whole thread but I love my 1hdc3 12 so me I would go with the 2 12's. Also look at grayta's build he had 1 15 in his 12 focus and it had to be sub up port back so unless you are willing to do that I would just go with the 2 12's. Most new cars can't fit a 15 with sub and port back. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
