Solo X Build... 4kw *update* New Recones Video

i built my friends setup about a year ago, 2 '04 soloX 12's in a 12 cu. ft. box w/ 144 sq. in. port. hasn't had any problems yet. but he wants to do more power. now i'm not sure if its a good idea

dwright stop multiplying cubic feet by 16 and pretending its the golden standard for every box. you have to take more into account.

I like black cones and dust caps for some reason makes the sub more attractive IMO. Nice subs btw.

Smaller box man, as someone said above. 7 cubes is WAY too big for 2 12's, especially in a SPL setup... even with a small port there's just way too much airspace in the box, nothing to support the sub, probably was bottoming the fck out even with the little port...

If it's for competing, make the box HEAPS smaller and the port HEAPS bigger...

4 cubes with a 6" aeroport :)

By any chance have you tried to face the enclosure towards the back? I tried to face my enclosure up su bs up port up and it was not nearly as loud as subs and port back and dident sound as good at all but mainly wasent nearly as loud.

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.
