Baydestrian
Oh I completely missed the part about you only knowing about Senn's. Like I said though, that list is outdated from over a year ago. Join up on Head-Fi and start reading their newer threads in Full Size section. That's what I did, a bunch of reading. @94, like I said I love my M50's an after adding the FiiO DAC to them it really brought them to life. Opened up the soundstage quite a bit. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. KMS
I use Sennheiser HD558 for gaming and late night listening. Best headphones I've ever had. I've bought several other brands and models and just couldn't get used to them. The HD558 hardly has any bass but the clarity, soundstage, and wide sound it produces make it excellent for pinpointing footsteps in games. I have them hooked up to a AVR with hdmi connections on the AVR. Nothing too serious, but damn good for me. 50ohm headphones so no need for an amp, plays loud and clear on my S3 too. Baydestrian
I've been meaning to give my S4's to my buddy. After listening to these $8 Philips with the MEE Bi-Flange tips I'm good. The Philips sound good on my laptop sound card but mainly they will be used with my Clip Zip with Rockbox since I got the EQ set for them, dropped the bass and picked up the mids. They are excellent. Let's than $15 total lol. Yeah none of mine require the Amp but the DAC is very useful 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
