oldsoundguy
Just got done cleaning up the garage after a great day of work on the truck. I got all the sound deadener installed, head liner back in and the door panels are done. I will install them tomorrow after my buddy comes over and helps me get the box back in the truck. Its definitely a two man job. I am leaving the rear interior panels off and just sporting the sq logo. That's why its all going the same direction. I didn't go all out and match seams (lol) but just ran it the same direction. It was very warm in side the truck and I was sweating pretty good. Then we had a big thunder storm and pretty good size hail. All in all a great day of progress on the truck. Cant wait to get it all wrapped up tomorrow. Then all I will have to do is install the new 80prs I bought last month. ok here are the pics for the lookers... Ok ok now the door panels. did the spacer rings different this time. Way easier to wrap a long thin piece and stretch it around the ring and splice it in the center middle were you will never see it. It was so much easier than the other way I did the other two and it came out better. I am not going to redo the pass side as its good enough for me. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
oldsoundguy
Door panels are done, installed and playing. Show me some love. lol They came out amazing IMO....They are solid I mean solid to the door with the way I did the studs for mounting. I did nick the paint on one ring on each door panel in the same freaking spot. I will touch that up real soon. If you notice in the pics the rear speakers are the soundqubed 6.5 pro audio and the two front ones are the AQ 3 way coax speakers. The pro audios are nice and loud but I need more of that warm sound that a coax makes. It sounds good now and looks even better. Yesterday I ordered the new Soundqubed two way coax speakers. Two sets for the front. They have a frequency range from 40hz to 22khz so they should sound pretty damn good. So with this build all I have left is to install the new 80prs and the new coax when they get here but for the rest ITS DONE!!!! yea Now what the fuck am I going to do???LOL 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
thefourth
Looking good. Not bad for an old man. Lol Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd. oldsoundguy
Holy crap this sounds so much better. I cant believe how much better the bass sounds without the damn rear window vibrating and all the other stuff that was making noise. I love it. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
