Deadly hertzz
Ok so other than all the cooling options you can get on subs, anybody ever think about running an ac line or hose from an ac vent something to that effect into the port of an enclosure or even if that would make a difference ? Just curious what peoples opinions are or if it's been tried I was watching one of exo's videos an seeing how he used the fans to cool where all of his amps were it just sparked some curiosity 8 sundown sa 12s walledSaz3000 at .5HO altAll ofc Sky high wireAlpine componentsRockford power mids
mikeg321
I think running a line into a box through the port and blowing air into the box would probably have an effect on how the box performs. Whether it would be a negative or positive effect I have no idea lol. Bazooka made this http://www.bazooka.com/products/mobile/Accessories-C37/CHIL-Accessories-S59/CHIL-PLUG---C-H-I-L--Liquid-Cooling-Woofer-Adapter-P323 It looks like it screws into the pole vent on a woofer. Neat idea but I dont know how effective it would be. 4 fully loaded Fi sp4 15's 2 Crescendo bc5500s Crescendo c1100.4 6 focal mids Vifa tweets 5 XS Power d3100's Pioneer avh-p4200dvd All crammed into a mustang. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150569-mikeg321s-fi-nendo-mustang-getting-walled-videos-page-4/
DylanBunch
i feel like aftermarket subwoofer cooling just encourages people to over power their subs more than they already do lol 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
S15_Silvia
I don't think it would make too much of a difference unless you could either *significantly* lower the ambient temp, or get right up in the gap with your cooling. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. Deadly hertzz
Lol damn the bazooka thing I wonder if it actually helps or not, yeh maybe a line straight up to the motor or directed at the coil 8 sundown sa 12s walledSaz3000 at .5HO altAll ofc Sky high wireAlpine componentsRockford power mids
timc31610
Attaching a vent would act like another port. And since a port blows and pulls air hundreds of times per minute I doubt you would actually get any cooling effect. HowLowCanYouGo
If you're having cooling problems why not just run your subwoofer inverted Nothing for now... alaskanzx5
Isn't there an amp fan setup with a temp gauge from smd? Sure you could find a way to make that work for some inverted subs. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
