Nishinga Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Well, im starting to look into my next build and want to get loud this time. So my question is, instead of using multiple 2 channel amps to power all my mids and highs, can I take just my left channel RCA and run that to a mono amp (using a female rca to 2 male rcas or something) and run my left side off that and do the same on the right side? Will that effectively give me a left and right channel or even work? This is still just in the planning stage, not committed to anything yet, just exploring options. BTW. Looking to put 8 crescendo 8's per side (doors/kicks/console) there rated 200w rms per thats why im looking for that much power. Thanks guys.

jarrius Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 I dont think it would be a good idea. As far as i know mono amps dont have the range that a multi channel amp does. Also i dont think your idea with the rca's will work 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Kyblack76 Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 why? Mono amps are not the amps of choice for mid/hi And running 8 per side, you think you can wire 8 to a impedance the amp will play? SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

Mono amps are not the amps of choice for mid/hi And running 8 per side, you think you can wire 8 to a impedance the amp will play? 8 is a nice even number, can series/parallel them real easy If you can find a full range mono amp have at it. didnt consider that, thanks man, something i have to look into
ChevyBoy95 Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 This might be a possible choice. http://soundstream.com/store/car-audio/amplifiers/x3/x3-2k4.html 1 ohm stable on 4 channels, 600 a channel. Do 4 mids per channel, or 8 8ohm mids on one channel. ChevyBoy95 Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 pretty sure they can be wired like this. combo of series, then parallel. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
