sounds like the amp may be messed up or something. all the Soundstream pro speakers I have owned and installed have sounded great. my friend has a single set of pro 6x9's in his doors and they are really loud.

i got that small 4 channel amp thats on my 6.5s

i was thinking about making it a 4 channel again and doing 2 ohms a channel with 2 8 each

try it. can't hurt

could tuning be an issue. there is no hp on my amp low pass is at 230 hz

Confirm that this is in fact your low pass that is set to 230hz

hmmm i use 2 hifonics 8'' square 8 ohm 1 channel 150w rms 300 max tritons . and im using a sony xplod 600w 4 channel soo 150 each channel and well ... the gain is all the way down but yet their still too loud

.... lp . ap . hp probably mean low power witch u use for bass all power for full range ..... and hp probably is high power witch u use for highs only .... try setting it to all power '' aka full power'''' i doubt those are ment for bass only

Set the highpass to like 125 and adjust.till it.sounds good those should scream
