Think I have the same Infinity components in the front of my 3, and probably the same coaxials about to go into my back doors. Betting they sounded like ass cause the crossovers were screwed and the installer was a jackass, cause mine sound decent just running off the head unit (4 channel about to go on them.)

Looking forward to you rescuing that thing.

1st I wanna thank Cableguy184 for taking the time out of his day to talk on the phone, its much appreciated!

So after bouncing ideas around I took some measurements on tweeter placement. 184's idea is on the dash pad tucked in the corners, where I was thinking on the sails of the doors.

Measurements from the windshield corners to the left and right of the driver side head rest are 51" drivers side, 62.5" passenger side

measurements from the sails are 41" on the driver side and 56" on the passenger side

so from a sound stage perspective I can get the proper angle from either install location but if the key is getting that front stage as far forward as possible then it's a no brainer as the dash pas spot is 10" farther ahead on the driver side and 6.5" on the passenger side. Gonna do a few other tests to see whats best but that's were I'm at as of today. As you can see as well the center counsel is out too. Gonna look into some door options we discussed as well.

Rolex you sicken me.

Yea, I'm diggin it brother !!!

I'm thinking that placement "on the dash" will be a much simpler (I think that's a word) install than the Sail panel install ...

... and work MUCH better to your advantage.

I just had 4 coxials in my bird on like 50 rms per and it got loud and clear. But these cars love bass. My dad had 2 cvrs on 100rms per and it still got loud. Guess it just has to do with the hatch and shape of the car

From the looks of this door ... There should be no problems in setting them up like I said.

I'm just hoping the clearance is as good as I'm thinking, but can not remember the specs on the drivers we talked about.
