hdorre
One of the more popular external voltage regulators is a blue one made by Transpo. You're aware that you need to remove the internal one to install an external, right? SnowDrifter
That's a capacitor. All it is Transpo 911-02r. Adjustable from 13.5-20v iirc. As Hunter said you'll need to convert your alt to external regulation. Also note that this regulator is not temperature compensating like most internal regs. Mine is set to 16.3 cold and it drops to 16.15 hot. Its there, but a very small difference ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
MECHMAN
IMO. If you looking to "stabilize voltage" just add an auxiliary battery. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]

zack_e89
IMO. If you looking to "stabilize voltage" just add an auxiliary battery. Agreed, thanks. I just wanted to learn what this actually was lol. One of the more popular external voltage regulators is a blue one made by Transpo. You're aware that you need to remove the internal one to install an external, right? No I wasn't aware of that at all haha, just looking for some knowledge, thank you That's a capacitor. Interesting, I guess caps come in all shapes and sizes lol. I'm far away from having the know-how to having a cap bank or even one of these probably, but I'm trying to learn Thanks again for your input guys 97 Suburban 8 custom PSI Platform 3 18's
