osiris10012 Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 Today was a pretty successful day. I thought I would get both the big 3 and amp power and ground ran but I ran out of solder. This sky high cable is awesome stuff to work with. I got the amp power and ground wire all run and also the big 3. I ran out of solder when I got to the fuse to battery cable section. So hopefully I will get time to buy some more solder tomorrow. I also redid my grounding point for my amp. I did a run from the engine to ground, battery to ground, alternator to battery and alternator to ground. I would have got more pictures but I was running out of time so I just kept chugging along. I also relocated my junction box for all my cold weather heaters. I originally had it right by the battery and it kept getting in the way. osiris10012 Posted July 8, 2014 Author Report Posted July 8, 2014 Well after a lot of back and forth I finally decided on a dss ethos 15". My main reason was do to the ethos liking small enclosures. My finally design ended up being 3.35 cu ft net with 58.5 in2 of port tuned to 32 hz. After talking with dss I felt very comfortable with this design, so I started to build it. I got an email saying it shipped so I hope to have it within the next week. Anyways onto the pics. Started sanding down the body filler but had to stop since not everyone is on night shift like me. Lol. Also installed some terminals on my sky high 8 gauge speaker wire.

It is going where the 40 split is. So I will only be losing 1 seat and it will be removable if I need the extra seat. The sub will be firing into the back of the drivers seat and the port will be firing up.
osiris10012 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Report Posted July 9, 2014 Got all the body work done and did a test fit. I have about 4" of clearance to the back of the seat where the sub will mount. Only thing I found that I dislike is that the floor has a slight slant to it. I didn't realize this when I started. It's really not a big deal, but the enclosure doesn't sit as close to the folded up seat as I wanted. Now I just have to figure out a way to secure it. Not sure how I will go about doing this. I was thinking about making a mount to bolt it to the rear seat frame.
