dharris2488
Well guys, this seems to be the debate everywhere. I'm in the process of a new build: (2) Q2200's strapped on (2) 12" DSS Ethos. I've ALWAYS fired back both subs and port, but the rattles and panel flexing was/is driving me nutz. I have a TON of RoadKill Expert and QMat in the trunk and put another Trunk pack of QMat in today. I've been planning this build for a month now, subs forward port forward sealed off in the cabin. I've spent 2 straight days sealing the trunk and rear deck. Now today, I've been hearing that it might be better for SPL to fire subs and port back at trunk lid? WTF??? Please don't tell me I've spent all this time on my car to only flip my enclosure back around and fire it at the trunk lid? I've been planning this build to put up some solid SPL numbers and I hope that I'm not doing it wrong! So, it's about 50/50 everywhere I look. Some say to fire in the cabin completely sealed to eliminate cancellation, and others say that firing in cabin is only good for SQ... Which is it? Or is it vehicle dependent? I'm going forward with my build (2013 Toyota Camry) and firing forward, sealed off. I will give you guys the results and TermLab numbers hopefully by next weekend. 2013 Toyota Camry SE 240a MechMan HO Alternator 1/0 Welding Flex Cable Big 3 CT Sounds 4000.1D Kenwood XR400-4 Mid/High Amp SoundQubed Q4-120 Mid Amp Infinity Kappa 6.5 components Kappa 6x9's for rear deck fill (coming out) (4) 8" PRV 8MB450's Set of SoundQubed SuperTweets (2) DSS Ethos 12's D2's @32.5hz (building 4th order enclosure) (2) SQ HDC3 10's @ 33.5hz (current build, loving them) Pioneer AVH-X4600BT 100 sq/ft Stinger RoadKill Sound Deadner 120 sq/ft QMat Sound Deadener (4) Juice Box Black Cherries Lots and Lots of feet of SHCA wire, along with 50' of Welding 1/0 2 Runs of 1/0 Positive front to back ToolMaker Everywhere

byers319
only way to find out what works better for you is to test it out facing both ways. the reason its 50/50 is all on the vehicle
