Marquisboys
Yeah I just kind of figured since I had my big box from my AQ 18 tuned to around 35 would be decent but I guess not lol. So having a smaller box around 6 cu rather than mine at 8 cu with my rms going to the sub it will actually be louder in a smaller box? It has pretty good port area. AK bass
Or you can tune it to 23hz like I did with my btl, it hit the lows pretty well. lol "The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources." Albert Einstein

AK bass
Hahah thats a little to low for me but that would be awesome to hear. Did u ever meter it? no, there are only about 3 shows a year and I'm either too busy or rebuilding. I still would like to meter for fun, but I only build for daily. jmanjr82
I agree a smaller box with lower tuning is going to yield better results for you, because right now your basically asking the sub to do something impossible given the circumstances. Once you build a box that Mayhem likes your going to notice a huge difference.
Marquisboys
Yeah it needs a better box, one thats made for it. so i was thinking 5.5 cu or 6 tuned to about 32hz i like lows rather than highs but still would like to meter somewhat good. With what i had before and that was with a AQ2200 i was doing 144.0 which isnt bad but i know it can do more. 2004 Grand MarquisAA Mayhem 18Crescendo 3500d6.5's AQ Pro AudioAQ Super TweetsImage Dynamics 6x9Soundqubed 125.4MB Quart 80.4144.2 db GONZO 2013 Chrysler 300S Granite Crystal Metallic Exterior Inferno Red Interior 5.7 HEMI AWD LMI Air Hammer Intake Corsa exhaust Custom Tune
Karkov
Hell, what's one more opinion right, you already plan on making a new box etc, but as like the pic. above I just want to say that I as well recommend making a new box specifically for that sub and then see how it sounds. You have a beast sub that lots aspire to. Also, please, please, please, make sure your amp is set up right etc. etc. Box plays a HUGE role, can't stress that enough. Tuning/setup plays an even bigger role. Just curious, what is your power like? Like what's your whole setup etc? 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
