Swordlordboy1234
Switch the subs. As in if sub 1 is in cutout 1 and sub 2 is in cutout 2, put sub 1 in cutout 2 and 2 in 1. Then look to see if the same sub or the same cutout is having the issue. I will tomorrow. Just checking other opinions. Tomorrow I'm gonna rewire the other sub. Inspect inclosure. And check phase. I'm 99.999999% sure it's not an enclosure thing. I really think its a phase issue but I'm almost positive I didn't wire wrong, but the signs lead to a phase issue. DubNDodge
Steps that I think should take place. Swap subs sides/ while checking wiring. If it's obvious that it's out of phase then ok. If the problem stays with sub, sub issue. If not: If problem stays to that same side, swap the wiring on the amp. Then look to see if the same sub or the same cutout is having the issue. Im really liking this idea. Yeah I like that idea too. I called bump4life and he gave me the idea to check the baffle of the enclosure to check for a leak. But that's extremely unlikely and he agreed. Today I rewired the sub with the issue today. So I know all of that wiring is correct. I cut the sub wires. Re crimped Lugs on. Re heatshrinked. Re twisted all speaker wires together and soldered and heatshrink those as well. So I'm 99.999999% sure that side is wired correctly. Tomorrow I will give the same treatment to the other sub with new lugs, heatshrink, soldered, and twisted wires. And I'll check the + - on that side aswell. Swordlordboy1234
Is your port a center port or on one end. Does one woofer directly load into o the port Center port. Both subs load identical. Only unloading issue that could possibly be happening is if for some strange reason the baffle separated and has a leak on that side but as I said before that has about a .0001% chance of happening. Its a BHE enclosure by robin butler. Yeah, pretty sure it's not an amp issue because they are internally bridged. I am using all 4 (+ + - -) on the bass amp. But the bass amp reads .5ohms... And each coil reads 2ohms. So according to my DMM it should be working fine. And its a mono amp. So it's not like a channel could act up and another channel was fine to produce the issue. I'll check the other sub wiring tomorrow. Afterwards if the problem persists I'll inspect enclosure and take both woofers out and swap sides. How far below tuning are you noticing irIt's not a common chamber box technically. Center port. Sub on each side. Not far below tuning. I unload at 24hz. And the past 4 months have been playing 25hz-60hz nicely. At 28hz seems to be where the FS of the subs and the enclosure meet up because that's where in the past the subs would move about a half inch and my car sunroof would flex like 2 inches. But now when I play 28hz and the one sub doesn't move, the sunroof flexes about 3/4 of an inch and it's not as loud to the ear (obviously) Edit... Yes, both subs are on the same bass amp. Dual 2 subs... Wired parallel parallel to a final load of .5 after the amp internally bridges the two sets of wires on its ++ -- inputs. Swordlordboy1234
unplugg one play it.. swap in coming.... play it you could swap out going... play it even.. Point is, isolate it Working on the isolation part. I isolated that it's not a woofer issue due to proper coil ohm loads at rest on both the coils and at the inputs of the amp. I also helped isolate the subs by playing them outside the box on different songs on pretty good power. Got about 1.5 inches of cone excursion while they were out side the box and I didn't notice any issues. So I guess now to isolate the enclosure by inspecting it... And then isolate the wiring by redoing all wires and swapping wires back and forth.
