n8ball2013
Actually the head unit pre outs don't put out 4 volt regardless of setting for the subwoofers especiallyIt's how you are able to attenuate and have separate head unit Control. Typically most head units require the sub out to be turned all the way up to output the full voltage on that channel. I'm betting if you took a meter to the real outs with the volume down the output voltage will be lower. Marquisboys
Soo basically the headunit it set in stone at 4v or little lower no matter what settings i choose to mess with on the deck. And having the sub level up past 0 would be almost like cranking up bass boost creating a dirty signal. Cause with my sub level on 0 i can go to a max volume without clipping and so can the 1khz test tone on my mids and high amp. 2004 Grand MarquisAA Mayhem 18Crescendo 3500d6.5's AQ Pro AudioAQ Super TweetsImage Dynamics 6x9Soundqubed 125.4MB Quart 80.4144.2 db GONZO 2013 Chrysler 300S Granite Crystal Metallic Exterior Inferno Red Interior 5.7 HEMI AWD LMI Air Hammer Intake Corsa exhaust Custom Tune

Marquisboys
The dd-1 is cool but i think of this shit like if someone has lets say a 4000rms amp and sets the gain so its not clipping that still doesnt mean that with a 2000rms rated sub it will be ok and wont blow on 4000rms. I over power all my equipment but i play it safe when cranking the volume 2004 Grand MarquisAA Mayhem 18Crescendo 3500d6.5's AQ Pro AudioAQ Super TweetsImage Dynamics 6x9Soundqubed 125.4MB Quart 80.4144.2 db GONZO 2013 Chrysler 300S Granite Crystal Metallic Exterior Inferno Red Interior 5.7 HEMI AWD LMI Air Hammer Intake Corsa exhaust Custom Tune
