After years and years of growth and punishment we put on ourselves lets us handle more as we get older. I remember trying to handle bass when I was 12 or 13 and it would choke me out. Got my first 150+ demo from Andrew McCollough and I knew it was loud, but also like "meh", but then again, that was with the HDC3s... 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. REH Posted June 20, 2014 Report Share Posted June 20, 2014 I think this guy every1 is talking about that handles 155db + with no issues probably has some kind of hearing damage..I like loud music dont get me wrong but at that level youre getting close to the amount of output that can physically incapacitate someone. I mean why do you think emts and firefighters wear ear protection when riding in ambulances or fire trucks? Their horns and sirens produce 160 db+ either way u still think its cool when someone has a system that can achieve that output on music Umm... We don't. oldschoolbeats Posted May 2, 2015 Report Share Posted May 2, 2015 For the people saying a 150's car doesnt damage your hearing, thats b.s. when i was young dumb and stupid and had nothing else to do but cruise around day in and day out with 4 15 JL w3 15's on 8 crossfire 1000d's(yeah old as fuck 15 years ago) and the car would do a 155 on a good day, id roll that fucker full tilt, did that for years till the shit got stolen, 15 years later my hearing is dog shit. I wouldnt street beat anything over a 150 regularly, fuck i see all these vids of mid 60's cars just rollin full tilt, give it a few years you will find out that it did affect your hearing. My hearing got so bad in my right ear (from being 6" away from my port) i had surgery and they sliced my fuckin ear off and patched my blown out fuckin ear drum and sewn it back on, got the nasty scar to prove it..... dont be fooled and believe its not affecting your hearing...
