Yes 4 people that I know of have had coils blown or start to smell bad with under the rated power and very slight to no clipping. Plus when I went to have it reconed they didn't even recone it for an HDS they did a HDC when I specifically told them I had another one to match. Funny how next to no one had issues with their coils until they created the HDS series aka creating a 3" coil series and keeping the sub the same price as the 2.5" coil sub it replaced. I wonder where they saved the money at... Also does this look like the coil should have failed/come unwound?
