ChevyBoy95
Was wondering this. In my testing with my oscope I have set gains on my CT 7k, CT 4k, AA 500.1, SS X3.71, Nendo 5500's, 3500's, and so on (lot of korean amps). Every time, say i would set the gains with 35hz for example to the point of no clipping. If i then played a 33hz tone, or 32, 31, 30, 29,....... it would ease into soft clip, and heavy clip in the mid 20s. Hopefully that made sense. Amp would put out more signal voltage too, and this is unloaded btw, all tones at -5db amplitude, SS all the way down (15hz), lpf all the way up (~150hz). Anybody know the reason why? what is going on internally with the amplifier or signal received that causes this? was just curious. EP95
Probably wrong but Ima guess lower notes are harder on the amps. Maybe?
Swordlordboy1234
I know a few people way smarter then me with engineering backgrounds that have answered this. Answer is yes. Explanation is because multiple people have told me exactly why and i forgot what they said other then "yes, they do clip sooner then higher frequencies" In to see smart people explain. Maybe? really? lol. Hopefully Tony or someone will chime in with an EE background or someone with a lot of amplifier experience. tacomaguy1
idk, but I get a lot more voltage drop playing higher notes....can get subs to smell a little. They're harder on my setup can play lows all day long, good voltage Team Flex Issues

gckless
When you did this, you were setting at max volume right? Do this: do the same test again, but do it at half volume, so that electrical supply isn't a factor. Bet you get different results probably box rise. He said it was unloaded.
