It would look something like this. This is for illustrative purposes only...lol

OK. My only question is wouldn't this type build block at least some of the sound coming back into the cabin?

Sub/port toward cabin? Do your seats fold down?

Originally i wanted the port and subs facing in. the seat doesn't fold down just the arm rest. would it be best to attempt to design a box facing the rear?

You only need a 5" port to make those subs work, if you insist to use the narrow section without modding anything you could do something like this:

Also you can perfectly do a back firing setup as long as you give sound waves a return path, I am pretty sure that if you build in the wide section a simple rectangular shaped box could be large enough if your given dimensions are accurate.

Thats a funky lil box. Possibly out of my comfort zone I am almost will willing to give it a shot i see it would need a double baffle. calculations would need to be perfect. im going to sit on this one for a little bit. more than likely i will go with a rectangle box but this really give me some ideas

Yes, in fact the sketch belongs to another design (not necessarily means yours need a double baffle), I just wanted to show you a way to deal with the issue, as said before just building in the wide section solves the issue.

I'm writing this because I want to see the end result. Just bought (2) HDS3 12's with a Q2200.1 and I need to build an enclosure this weekend. I will start my own post, as to not hijack this one. Just curious to see what his final dimensions and tuning are going to be. Also curious to see if rear firing will be better in this case, rather than forward firing. Good luck!
